Wayfarers for babies! The soft matte colours are the latest summer trend. These sunglasses have a handy strap to keep them from slipping. The frame is made from soft silica which allows for gentle bending and twisting without deformation and breaking.
The polarized lenses reduce reflective glare from water and snow. All Teeny sunglasses are CE certified and provide UV400 protection, thus blocking 100% UV light. All models come in a microfibre cloth pouch which can be used to store and clean.

I was surprised the lenses weren't darker to have more eye protection. As you can see on the photo, we see the arm of the sunglasses through the lense...
A bit disappointed in that way as I don't think those sunglasses will do a good job at protecting my baby's eyes.

I think you may have been looking for sunglasses with reflective lenses, which are duly marked as such on our website.
With regards to your purchase, and to give you a peace of mind, the lens is Category 3 lens. It is in full compliance with the product safety standards (https://www.productsafety.gov.au/products/clothing-accessories/fashion-accessories/sunglasses-fashion-spectacles) which state that:

These sunglasses provide a good level of UV protection. Category 3 glasses also provide a high level of sun glare reduction. These sunglasses are good if you prefer darker lenses or are particularly sensitive to light in particular situations. For example, in direct sunlight or sunlight reflection on the water at the beach.
Category 3 lenses are the standard in Australia and are classified as protective sunglasses (versus lower categories as fashion sunglasses). As such, our sunglasses (including your purchase) are with UV400 protection as well as polarized lenses.
